What Upside is
Upside is a web-based tool that compares odds across sportsbooks, daily fantasy apps and prediction markets. Its goal is to surface bets where the price looks better than it should be.
An odds screen is a live table that puts the same bet from many books side by side. A +EV (positive expected value) tool goes a step further. It estimates the true chance of an outcome and flags prices that pay more than that chance implies. Arbitrage means backing both sides of a market at different books so the combined prices cover the cost. Try our EV calculator and arbitrage calculator to see the math.
Who Upside is for
Upside is aimed at active bettors who hold accounts at many books and want to act on price gaps. The tool is only as useful as your ability to place the bet at the book that shows the edge.
It fits people who treat betting as a volume activity, who are comfortable with spreadsheets and bankroll tracking, and who want props, game lines and low-hold markets in one place. The low-hold tool is built for bettors working through sportsbook promotions.
It is probably not for casual bettors with one or two accounts. If you place a few bets a week for fun, a screen full of edges and plans at this level is likely more than you need.
How it works
The product is organized as a set of tools:
- Odds screen: live odds from many sportsbooks in a single view.
- +EV optimizer: shows positive-EV props and game lines as they appear.
- Prop discrepancies: highlights line gaps for the same player prop across books, including esports.
- Arbitrage and low hold: finds arbitrage setups and low-vig markets.
- Whale Watch: tracks sharp-money activity, available on higher plans.
- +EV Sniper: ranks edges on one live board, on the top plan only.
- Race to Place: alerts you when a Betr slip is +EV, also on the top plan.
You can also join a VIP Discord for shared plays. The site offers free betting calculators too, including EV, no-vig, Kelly, arbitrage, hedge, bonus conversion and parlay tools.
What to weigh before subscribing
Plan level changes what you get. The lowest plan leaves out Whale Watch and +EV Sniper, and the middle plan leaves out +EV Sniper. Decide which tools you would actually use before picking a level. See the at-a-glance table above for current pricing and trial terms.
Trial terms. The trial requires a card and charges automatically when it ends, and it is for new subscribers only. Subscription fees are non-refundable, so cancel before the trial ends if you decide it isn't for you.
Account limits. This is the biggest practical risk with +EV and arbitrage betting. Sportsbooks may limit or close accounts that win consistently or bet only on mispriced lines. Plan for that, and don't count on being able to keep every account open.
Bankroll and time. Edges are small per bet. They add up over many bets, and variance can be large in the short run. Use a staking method such as our Kelly criterion calculator rather than guessing.
Learning curve. The set of tools is wide. Expect to spend time learning which feed matches your accounts and your risk tolerance.
Availability. The site says its content is for users in approved locations, so check where you can use it.
Bottom line
Upside suits bettors who already have several sportsbook accounts, a bankroll they can spread across many bets, and a willingness to accept that books may limit them. If you only want to research player stats, a prop research tool is a closer match. Compare the plans in the table above before you commit.
