EV stands for expected value. A +EV bet (a bet that pays more than it should) has a price better than its true chance. You will still lose some of these bets. But if you make many of them, you can come out ahead over time.
A +EV tool compares prices across sportsbooks. It uses a fair price as a guide. Then it shows bets that pay more than that fair price. You can try the math yourself with our EV calculator and no-vig calculator.
These do other things too, and include this as one of their features.

+EV does not mean you win. You can lose many bets in a row, even with good prices. It takes a lot of bets to see the benefit.
Sportsbooks can limit your account if you keep winning. Some will cut your bet size to a few dollars. Others may close your account.
The "fair price" is an estimate. If it is wrong, the edge is not real. Treat large edges with care. They are often errors.
Bet size matters too. Our Kelly criterion calculator can help you pick a smart stake. Only bet what you can afford to lose.
It means the bet pays more than its true chance says it should. You still can lose any single bet.
Some people do over a long time. But it takes many bets, good tools, and patience. Account limits can cut it short. There is no sure profit.
Some tools have a free plan with fewer features. Others charge for full access. Check each tool's own listing for current terms.
